Expect to hear the name Whiplash and Miles Teller A LOT in the next few months. Teller takes on an intense role for Whiplash, a film telling the story of a passionate drummer and his mentor. Teller had a memorable performance and broke out of his shell and shedding the image of the typical twenty-something guy he normally plays on-screen.
Miles Teller can be described as one of the most candid actors in Hollywood.
Wes Anderson deserves his own genre when it comes to film. I heard about the uniqueness that Anderson brings to his films, but this was the first time I experienced it first hand. 12 years, 4 main actors, and 39 days of total shooting. Sounds like the ingredients for a reality show, right? Think again. This latest formula is the pieces behind the Oscar buzzing film, Boyhood.
Bill Murray can do no wrong. In his latest film, St. Vincent, he plays a grumpy, old, drunk, less than worthy of being a saint, some may say. However, Murray brings his comedic charm and lovable attitude out in this story to transform him into a more saint like character.
This upcoming movie season is creating a crazy buzz. The range of films that are coming out in the next few weeks are impressive. Although, I have only been able to see the trailers for all of the movies below, I plan on seeing every single one. Each movie is creating some kind of Oscar buzz, whether it be from a best actress or a best director nomination. Each movie is packed with a great cast and plot to keep you thinking for days. Several of the films are based around true stories. They include a range of heart warming stories about unexpected relationships, to crazy action packed dramas. Either way, I would recommend any of these movies this upcoming season!
