May Movie Preview

Summer is right around the corner and you know what that means!

SO

AMANY

MOVIES!

There are SO many good movies coming out this summer that is it hard just to highlight a few. Normally summer movies are all about the blockbusters, however this season there are plenty of smaller films that will be worth checking out, too! Here’s a quick preview of what you can expect in theaters this May!

AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON

Avengers: Age of Ultron reunites Marvels best superheroes. This time the situation is at an all time high (isn’t it always in a superhero movie!?) The Avengers have to work together to defeat Ulton, an enemy who is set on human extinction!! Now this film has a huge ensemble cast including Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, and Chris Evans, just to name a few. The film, which was written and directed by Joss Whedon, is scheduled to be released on May 1.

PITCH PERFECT 2

It’s going to be aca-amazing! The Barden Bellas are back and this time taking the true title for world a capella domination. Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow, and Rebel Wilson reunite with director Elizabeth Banks to bring you more songs that will get stuck in your head. Pitch Perfect 2 is out May 15.

TOMORROWLAND

Tomorrowland has been under wraps for a very, very long time now. With only a few weeks until it hits theaters it still remains a huge mystery. The non-descriptive trailers draw you in putting this on the short list for films you must check out this summer. Disney has paired with George Clooney and Britt Robertson, so I’m expecting big things. Together it looks like Clooney and Robertson are on a journey to unearth a scientific world that only exist in their collective memories. Guess we’ll have to wait until May 22 to see the true story behind Tomorrowland.

ALOHA

Aloha has me sold just from the trailer alone. The soundtrack is great and the ensemble cast has proven that this will be a classic for a long time to come. Cameron Crowe has taken a good majority of America’s sweethearts and dropped them in Hawaii. The cast includes Bradley Cooper, Emma Stone, John Krasinski, Bill Murray, Alec Baldwin and Rachel McAdams. Aloha tells the story of Brian Gilcrest, a military contractor who has returned to Hawaii to work on his next project. He is teamed up with Emma Stone but is put in the classic love triangle situation with Rachel McAdams. Aloha hits theaters on May 29.
