Can Pixar do anything wrong???? The world premiere trailer of Pixar’s newest film, Inside Out, debuted today.
The trailer shows emotions running wild in 11-year-old Riley’s head. Riley’s family has just moved cross-country. Together, we get to see how the emotions play out when she moves into a new house and starts a new school.
Also in the trailer we get a grand tour of “headquarters”. During the tour we meet Joy (Amy Poehler), Sadness (Phyllis Smith), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling), and Fear (Bill Hader). Meet them below!
Joy begins the story by bragging about Riley’s memories saying how they are mostly happy. However, curiosity got the best of Sadness and she starts to play around with the happy memories changing them into sad ones. When the clan tries to change them back, they knock over the core memories creating a mess!
Joy and Sadness get sucked into “long-term memory” and have to find their way back to headquarters. Meanwhile Anger, Disgust, and Fear are left to run headquarters by themselves. On their journey back, Joy and Sadness travel through Riley’s head visiting worlds such as “Imagination Land,” “Dream Productions” and they even find out what happens when you get a brain freeze.
Like any Pixar movie, it seems emotions will be running high, so expect some tears! The film, which is directed by Pete Docter, hit theaters on June 19. Check out the trailer below.
